Steel Shots S-780

Rotocast Steel Shots S-780 is a very coarse spherical steel abrasive grade designed for very high impact for heavy-duty blasting. Its controlled size distribution supports a stable working mix and repeatable impact performance in shot blasting operations. Because Steel Shot acts through repeated spherical impact rather than sharp cutting action, this grade can be used where consistent cleaning, descaling, surface refinement or peening performance is required.

S-780 is particularly suitable for large components and severe cleaning operations where high-impact spherical media is appropriate. The final operating result will depend on machine type, wheel or nozzle velocity, exposure time, abrasive flow rate, component material and the condition of the working mix. Maintaining the correct graded media in the blasting system is therefore essential for repeatable production quality and efficient abrasive consumption.
